24-hour nursing care is provided to manage the psychosocial and physical needs of the individual.
Individualized care planning that includes developing an MDS nursing care plan, Individual Program Plan (IPP), Mental Health Assessment, Behavioral Functioning Assessment, Behavioral Treatment Intervention Plan, and Crisis Treatment Planning.
Requires a “NF-MI” finding on a placement PASRR evaluation to be admitted to Southeast Behavioral Healthcare Center. This includes developing a specific PASRR Care Plan for the resident to address PASRR findings.
Utilization of therapeutic behavioral modification interventions to address maladaptive behaviors including the use of non-punitive behavioral timeouts.
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center's staff receives training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques to de-escalate problematic behavior and ongoing education to better understand mental health-based issues of the resident.
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center has an Activity Director on staff who schedules a wide array of activities including crafts, exercises, van rides, shopping, community lunches, and more. Emphasis is placed on activities which ease residents into a sense of engagement and belonging. One-on-one activities are also offered, such as Bible Study.
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center provides a nourishing and well-balanced diet menu. Our experienced food service professionals work with our registered dietitian to provide a personalized menu for individual dietary needs.
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center is staffed with a licensed Social Services professional and a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) to assist residents with their individual treatment based programs.
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center offers both short and long term placement for individuals with a mental illness.
